The special for the night was filet mignon topped w Crimini mushrooms & potato gratin. I came here in the mood for lasagna but that switched as soon as I heard Crimini mushrooms & au gratin lol. This dish was great! My date had lamb & said it too was yummy! Also, best cheesecake I’ve ever had.
I’m more so sold on the experience, ambience and service. This is the restaurant for special occasions and/or date nights. The ambience was intimate, enchanted; yet, homey. I ended up knowing my server, so we had a great time. & To say I frolic the area of the French Quarters I never payed Irenes any mind. It’s kinda low key.
This is just a small detail but shows it goes a long way in a guests experience bc it I started my night off feeling special— When escorted to my table, the host locked arms me and idk if it was standard, he was being nice, or he knew I couldn’t walk in my YSLs, but I ♥️ THAT.
The night flowed beautifully after that and I cannot wait to dine here again to see more of this restaurant!! .... & take my photo in front of the walkway (:
